Irish moss can be soaked and added to salads, stews, dips, pasta, soups, in raw food dishes or found in many recipes as a thickening agent. It can also be heated (not boiled) till the weed softened slightly, cooled and then blended to a smooth paste which turns to a gel when cold, this can be added to smoothies, soups or teas.
Suggested Use
Our Chondrus Crispus comes in dry organic form.
Clean and soak Chondrus Crispus sea moss with spring water. Soak for up to 24 hours. Bring to a simmer on a low/medium heat until soft. Allow to cool and then blend with remaining water from the pot until you get desired gel consistency.
